Can you apply if you identify as Lesbian AS WELL AS (for example) “queer” or “gay” etc?
Yes, you can!
Can you apply if you identify as trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming?
Can you submit writing that is not poetry?
We do on occasion accept short writing that is not poetry. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire directly.
What type of visual art is allowed?

Can I submit photographs of a 3-D object?
Will I get a copy of the zine if my work is featured in the zine?
Will I be notified if I am accepted?
Yes, we will let you know via email whether you are accepted or not.
Will there be future issues with different themes and different submission requirements?
Can I submit to the zine for future issues?
Is there a fee to apply to the zine?
No, it’s free : )
Is there compensation for published submissions?
No, there is not compensation for published submissions at this time. Chosen artists will be compensated by being published in the zine, and receiving their own copy of the zine once it has printed.
Why do I need to upload a cv/resume?
We would like to view your education, and past artistic experiences to understand your background. It gives us more information about you! This does not affect our final submission choices
Can I submit already published work/pictures of mine or do they need to be unpublished?
Yes, you can submit already published work.
And does uploading them on Instagram count as published?
No, it does not.
Questions or Concerns specific to Issue 3
If you identify as disabled in any capacity, as long as that part of your identity, you are welcome to submit. We do not ask you to specify or give us any details about your sensory, cognitive or physical disabilities or chronic illness.
I’m struggling to navigate and/or fill out the submission form, are there other ways to submit my work?
Yes, please email us at email@example.com and we’ll work with you directly to take your submission.
I have a chronic illness but don’t identify as disabled, can I still apply?
If you are living with chronic illness, sensory, cognitive or physical disabilities but do not identify as disabled you are still welcome to apply.
I’m living with a disabling illness but do not have an official medical diagnosis, can I still apply?
